Toolscase FocusPulse AI ("we," "us," or "our") is a browser extension designed to track active screen time, calculate an AI Focus Score, block distracting websites, and provide productivity coaching. This Privacy Policy details our privacy-first architecture and minimal data processing practices.

To deliver accurate screen time analytics and focus insights, FocusPulse AI processes these minimal data points:
Screen Time & Domain Usage Records
FocusPulse AI measures active browser tab durations locally on your device. Web domain names, time spent per site, and daily activity heatmaps are saved exclusively in chrome.storage.local. Raw web page contents, input fields, passwords, or search queries are never read or stored.
AI Coaching Requests
When generating personalized productivity coaching tips, FocusPulse AI sends anonymous aggregate stats (total score, total productive/unproductive hours, top 4 domain titles) to api.toolscase.com. Raw URLs, page content, and personal identity data are never sent to external servers.
Privacy Integrity Guarantee
Your browsing history, website activity, and time tracking records are never sold, rented, or stored on external databases. All analytics remain inside your local Chrome browser environment.
Extension Permissions Usage
The FocusPulse AI extension requests the following permission levels to operate:
storage
Required to save your screen time logs, focus mode blocklist, daily targets, and custom site categories locally on your device.
tabs
Allows FocusPulse AI to detect when you switch browser tabs in order to start/pause time tracking for active domains accurately.
idle
Detects when your computer is idle or locked so time tracking automatically pauses while you are away from your browser.
host_permissions (<all_urls>)
Required strictly to capture the domain hostname of active browser tabs for time tracking and enforcing Focus Mode site blocking.
