Privacy Policy for PixGrab
Last updated: May 2026
PixGrab (“we”, “our”, or “the extension”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how PixGrab handles data when you use the PixGrab browser extension and related services.
Overview
PixGrab is a browser extension that allows users to extract images from webpages and optionally export them as ZIP files or PDF documents. PixGrab is designed to operate locally in the user’s browser and does not collect personal user information.
Information We Collect
PixGrab does not collect personal data such as your name, email address, passwords, financial information, or browsing history.
PixGrab only processes website content when the user explicitly requests an action. This may include:
- Images present on the webpage
- CSS background images
- The URL of the current webpage
- Files selected by the user for export
This data is processed solely to perform the core functionality of the extension.
How the Data Is Used
Website content is used only for the following user-requested actions:
- Detecting and displaying images available on the active webpage
- Generating ZIP downloads of selected images
- Converting images to other formats
- Creating PDF files from selected images
Processing occurs either locally in the browser or temporarily on secure servers when export features (ZIP/PDF conversion) are used.
Temporary Server Processing
When users choose export features (such as ZIP or PDF generation), selected images and the page URL may be securely transmitted to PixGrab servers for temporary processing.
Important:
- Data is processed only to generate the requested file
- Data is not stored permanently
- Data is automatically deleted after processing is completed
- Data is never used for analytics, advertising, or tracking
Data We Do NOT Collect
PixGrab does NOT collect or store:
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. We do not share data with third parties except when required by law.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect data during transmission and processing. All data sent to PixGrab servers is transmitted using secure HTTPS encryption.
Third-Party Services
PixGrab may use secure hosting providers and infrastructure services to operate backend processing. These providers process data only on our behalf and under strict security obligations.
User Control
Users are always in control of when PixGrab runs:
- PixGrab activates only when the user clicks the extension
- Downloads and exports occur only after user interaction
Children’s Privacy
PixGrab is not intended for children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
